1. Product

OptionOS is a macOS native desktop application developed by Yunus Emre Ak ("Developer"). It provides voice dictation, clipboard history with DSL search, live subtitles, AI skill suggestions, and a universal command bar.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use OptionOS on the number of Mac devices specified by your plan (Personal: 1, Duo: 2, Team: 4). This license covers version 1 and all v1 updates for as long as v1 is supported.

You may deactivate a device and activate a new one at any time through the app's self-serve deactivation feature.

3. Free Trial

OptionOS includes a usage-limited free trial: 100 voice recordings and 150 clipboard searches. No credit card is required. Trial data stays on your Mac. When limits are reached, a license purchase is required to continue using those features.

4. Payment & Fulfillment

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles VAT, invoicing, and payment compliance.

After checkout, you receive a license key via email instantly. The app is downloaded from GitHub releases. No manual intervention is required — delivery is fully automatic.

5. Privacy & Data

OptionOS is offline-first. Your voice recordings, clipboard history, transcripts, and all personal data stay on your Mac. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers.

The only network request is license activation (one-time). After activation, the app works fully offline.

7. Intellectual Property

OptionOS, its source code, design, and branding are the intellectual property of Yunus Emre Ak. The license grants usage rights only — not ownership, redistribution, or reverse-engineering rights.

8. Disclaimer

OptionOS is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The Developer is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the software, including but not limited to data loss, hardware damage, or lost productivity.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of OptionOS after changes constitutes acceptance.
