# There are no active promises outside a release right now

Experimental features and roadmap ideas are not promises. An outcome becomes a promise only
when it is explicitly included in a specific release's closed contract and has a written way
to falsify it.

There is no active version-independent promise right now. Shipped outcomes live in What's New;
experiments and future candidates are not presented as promises made to users.
